Duties:

• Serves customers by checking engine oil, tires, battery, and window washing fluid; while inspecting various parts of the car and filling out the checkout sheet.
• Keeps customers safe by notifying them when oil is dirty or low, tires are worn, hoses or fan belts are deflective, or battery is weak or defective.
• Generates sales by promoting products and services, such as, oil change and lubrications, tires, batteries, or other automotive accessories.
• Completes automotive maintenance and repairs by adjusting or relining brakes; performing minor motor tune-ups; changing and repairing tires.
• Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
• Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; and bringing the issue to the Service Manager.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances service station reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments; being active in and contributing to the community.
