AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN NEEDED

Position is for Monday through Friday 8AM to 5PM

Automotive education background is appreciated, but not required. Education does count as experience.

ASE Certification(s) are appreciated, but not required.

Valid Driver's License is required and a clean driving record is preferred.

Position is for a full time technician, personal tools are required.

We're a small locally owned shop with a friendly, supportive, experienced crew that's been a part of the community for over 50 years with a reputation for above and beyond service. We see everything from small economy cars to high end exotics and classics and need someone with the ability and drive to fit our range of expertise to fit in as our newest full time technician.

A TechNet Automotive Technician fixes, inspects and maintains cars, trucks, SUVs and other vehicles for drivers. Their main duties include using tools to find any potential issues with someone’s vehicle, explains problems with the car to the driver and performing maintenance on the car to fix it or prevent it from future breakdowns or issues.

  • Repair brake and steering systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems.
  • Replace or repair transmissions and fuel components as needed.
  • Repair cooling components and systems including air conditioners and engine cooling.
  • Perform emissions inspections, safety checks and similar state-regulated vehicle examinations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed.
  • Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.

  • Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles.
  • Identify problems with vehicles using the diagnostic equipment.
  • Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
  • Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems
  • Perform basic auto care and maintenance tasks such as oil changes, fluid level checks, and tire rotation.
  • Repair and replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance and general mechanic work on vehicles.
  • Prepared to get additional certification as needed.
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Help keep repair shop clean and organized.
  • Keep a professional appearance.
