The Mechanics Tire & Auto is a growing, locally owned and operated, automotive tire and maintenance resource for customers in Stanly, Cabarrus, and Union counties. We currently have stores in Locust and Albemarle with a great team of employees and are looking for our next team member.

The Mechanics Lube Tech Minimum Requirements:

Responsibilities:


    • Fill out vehicle inspection report on every vehicle.
    • Complete assigned vehicle task in an efficient and accurate manner.
    • Ability to change oil, mount and balance tires, perform routine maintenance services and fluid flushes, patch and plug tires, and change air filters.
    • Support all shop technicians as needed.
    • Maintain a clean work environment.
    • Maintain customer satisfaction with every vehicle.
    • Meet required minimum goals as set forth by management.

Salary:

• $35,000-$37,000 base salary depending on experience, plus incentives!

• Estimated $38,500-$44,000 total compensation.

Desired Experience:

  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • 1-2 years of automotive experience required.
  • Full vehicle lookovers and digital vehicle inspections.
  • Oil changes.
  • Brake replacement experience preferred.
  • Front-end work (ball joints, shocks and struts, tie rods, etc.) and alignment experience preferred.
  • Tire mounting and balancing.
  • Preventative maintenance services and fluid flushes.
  • North Carolina state inspection certification is a plus.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate: Locust, NC: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
