Automotive Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and seasoned Automotive Technician to join our family. You will be responsible for inspecting customer vehicles, diagnosing problems ranging from engine performance, drive-ability, NVH, suspension and chassis, A/C, hybrid, EV, and electrical; perform routine maintenance, and complete necessary repairs. Candidates with more than five years of automotive repair experience are preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service, so you must be friendly and passionate about giving our customers the best repair experience possible.

Auto Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in automotive service technology a plus.

  • ASE certification a bonus.

  • Must have a comprehensive tool set (both mental and physical).

  • Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Must be mature, friendly and get along with coworkers and management.

  • Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Punctual and responsible for the cleanliness of their bay and work performed.

Job Requirements

Automotive Technician Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect cars based on customer requests or concerns.

  • Perform basic maintenance, including changing fluid changes, tire service, and checking fluid levels/condition.

  • Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors, etc...

  • Follow process to provide an accurate diagnosis, repair, and quality control.

  • Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment.

  • Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
